01 — About

Background

I'm a senior consultant at DayBlink Consulting, a boutique management consulting firm in Washington, DC. I work with senior leaders on strategy and on the day-to-day work of putting it into practice.

My focus areas are data, automation, AI, and cloud. I've supported an enterprise cloud migration end to end, developed metrics programs for security leadership, and managed an eight-figure security budget in support of the chief of staff.

I hold dual degrees in Economics and Statistics from the University of Virginia, and I live in New York City. I'm most interested in problems that are open-ended and technical at the same time, where both the strategy and the implementation matter.

  • Tracked risks and dependencies across systems so migrations proceeded without disrupting security operations.
  • Advocated for a cloud strategy that included governance and cross-functional coordination, not only the technical migration.

Incident Response Plan Redevelopment

Redefined the incident response plan for the cybersecurity organization of a major media and technology company.

  • Built a tiered framework spanning strategic governance to tactical runbooks, organized around six phases: prepare, ingest, triage, investigate/contain/respond, close out, and review.
  • Made the response process repeatable and auditable by breaking plans down from a high-level overview to step-by-step guides.
  • Defined incident severity levels, roles and responsibilities, and communication steps so teams could respond consistently.
